Friends of Harrison Fund
Dr. Fisher would like to take this opportunity to introduce a special fund that he started in memory of "Harrison," our loving friend and office cat who passed away in 2008 from cancer. This fund is used to provide care for abandoned and stray animals in need of medical care, through Oasis Animal Hospital. All donations to this fund are used 100% to support the care for these animals, and any extra monies will be sent on for Cancer Research, to help find a cure.
In both 2008 and 2009, Dr. Fisher and Oasis Animal Hospital donated over $12,000 to help care for stray and abandoned animals at Oasis Animal Hospital, so you can see the need is great, and any help will be appreciated. From May to December of 2009, the generous supporters of the "Friends of Harrison Fund" gave over $1,300, all of which went to take care of (and find homes for) 16 cats and 12 dogs. In addition, Dr Fisher also made a $500.00 donation in the name of the "Friends of Harrison Fund" for cancer research at the Kansas State Universoty College of Veterinary Medicine.
